Roberts was former Assistant Treasury Secretary under Ronald Reagan, a Wall Street Journal Associate Editor, and holder of numerous academic appointments, including at Georgetown University’s Center for Strategic and International Studies.
He now prominently criticizes destructive, repressive state policies, harming people everywhere.
Major world and national issues will be discussed.
Saturday, July 30 at noon US Central time: Jack Rasmus and Kathy Kelly
Kelly is a long-time political/social/anti-war activist and coordinator of Voices for Creative Nonviolence (VCNV). In 1996, she helped establish Voices in the Wilderness to end the repressive US/UN Iraq sanctions.
VCNV is a dedicated resistance campaign against imperial wars, violence, and the “war on terror,” abroad and at home.
Kelly recently participated in the Freedom Flotilla II humanitarian mission as a passenger aboard the US Boat to Gaza/Audacity of Hope.
Discussion will focus on what she and others experienced.
Rasmus is Professor of Political Economy at St. Mary’s College and Santa Clara University, CA. He’s also a freelance journalist, frequent speaker, a playwright and author, including his newest book titled, “Epic Recession: Prelude to Global Depression.”
His forthcoming book is titled, “Obama’s Economy: Recovery for the Few.”
His current views on the economy will be discussed.
Sunday, July 31 at noon US Central time: Stjepan Mestrovic
Mestrovic is Professor of Sociology at Texas A & M University and author of “The Good Soldier on Trial: A Sociological Study of Misconduct by the US Military Pertaining to Operation Iron Triangle.”
Current world and national topics will be discussed, including his advocacy for wrongly charged low ranking soldiers, hung out to dry for the crimes of superiors.
