WaPo Rains on Trump’s Inauguration Day Parade
by Stephen Lendman
On the eve of Trump’s inauguration, the neocon, CIA-connected Washington Post called January 20 “the most ominous inauguration day in modern history” – saying he’ll enter office with the lowest approval rating of any previous US incumbent.
WaPo failed to explain he and Hillary were the most unpopular presidential aspirants in US history. Respondents in various polls rejected them both, in spite of one-sided media praise for her, rage against him.
Nor did WaPo discuss America’s debauched political system – a money controlled one-party state with two right wings, fantasy democracy, not the real thing.
On Friday, Trump enters office facing powerful dark forces wanting him undermined – perhaps impeached or assassinated.
He’s vulnerable to removal from office despite heading the world’s leading nation – politically, economically and militarily.
Nothing can save him if pro-Hillary dark forces want him ousted or eliminated by other means – an unprecedented state of affairs in America, a president-elect threatened before entering office, things likely worsening once inaugurated.
WaPo waged a vicious anti-Trump campaign throughout the political season. Expect no letup once his policies become known.
“Trump has chosen cynicism over trust, and chaos over community,” WaPo blustered, claiming he’s “utterly unfit for the presidency” – still campaigning for Hillary long after November 8, operating as a de facto CIA house organ.
WaPo: “(T)he dread Trump inspires is about far more than obnoxious tweets.” He’s “disdain(ful) of “democra(cy).”
Fact: Trump’s tweets are refreshing, letting him state views briefly without media scoundrels distorting them.
Putin bashing followed. WaPo blasted him for candidly stating media scoundrels are “worse than prostitutes,” without moral scruples, outrageously saying “many of his enemies wind up dead” – a longstanding US specialty.
WaPo: Trump “st(ole) (DNC and Podesta) emails. He “flout(s) established rules, standards (and) principles.” He’s “legitimately terrifying.”
This type rubbish is why I call Western media “scoundrels”. As a businessman, Trump has no public record on which to judge him.
Once in office, he’s fair game for praise or criticism. Until then, anti-Trumpism is solely about delegitimizing, undermining, and perhaps preventing him from serving once inaugurated.
