Putin Coaching Trump? Aiming to Undermine US democracy?
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
Do people actually believe this stuff?
After all these years, I should be acclimated to onslaught of establishment media rubbish that masquerades as truth and full disclosure.
I’ll never accept or get used to misinformation, disinformation, fake news and Big Lies from any sources.
No internet existed when I was young, no television until my adolescence.
Today in my residential building, I and others have hundreds of cable channels with nothing to watch, including propaganda and junk food news choices, pretending to offer news and information.
Reports from several unreliable sources claim Putin is coaching Trump ahead of the November 3 presidential election (sic).
Similar reports surfaced in 2016, suggesting Trump is a Manchurian candidate for Putin.
No evidence suggests it because not only does none exist, the notion doesn’t rise to the level of bad Hollywood fiction.
An added twist now is claiming Putin’s goal is undermining US democracy — how something nonexistent can be brought down left unexplained.
In 2016, Newsweek asked: “Is Trump in Hock to Putin and his Pals?”
Citing the neocon/NATO-connected Atlantic Council, Newsweek pushed the Big Lie about Russian US election meddling, adding:
“(T)he real issue is not whether Donald Trump is a Manchurian candidate. Rather it is that Russian President Vladimir Putin is playing for keeps (sic).”
He’s trying to “discredit and corrupt the integrity of governments and democratic institutions everywhere (sic).”
More of the same rubbish followed, no evidence cited like always before and since that time.
Left unmentioned is that Russia is at peace with the world community, threatening no other nations, seeking cooperative relations worldwide, confrontation nowhere.
Its global agenda is polar opposite how the US, NATO, Israel, and their imperial allies operate, waging forever wars on humanity by hot and other means — establishment media pretend aren’t happening.
In June, an Atlantic propaganda piece said “Putin is well on his way to stealing the next (US) election…RIP democracy (sic).”
The fake news report repeated the Big Lie that many never die. Most people believe what’s pounded into their minds by unreliable sources they believe are credible.
No evidence suggests any nation ever interfered in the US political process, and for good reason.
What could they possibly gain in a one-party state with two right wings where electoral results always turn out the same way.
Names and faces change. Dirty business as usual always triumphs.
Yet with disturbing regularity, the Big Lie about foreign interference rears its ugly head each US election cycle in recent years — no proof ever presented to corroborate accusations.
There is none to present. According to the Atlantic, the Russians are at it again, adding:
In 2016, they “expect(ed)” Hillary to win and “prepar(ed) to immediately” cry foul (sic).
Things turned out “more favorably than any operative in Moscow could have ever dreamed (sic).”
“Not only did Russia’s preferred candidate win, but he has spent his first term…isolating a nation that had styled itself as indispensable to the free world (sic).”
“(I)nstead of complacently enjoying its triumph, Russia almost immediately set about replicating it (sic).”
“Boosting…Trump(’s) (2020) campaign (conceals) the larger objective” — eliminating US democracy that doesn’t exist, never did in the country from inception.
A Salon propaganda piece published by Raw Story claims “Trump is being ‘coached by Putin’ to seize power,” citing Dem political strategist Simon Rosenberg.
He also claims that Americans don’t want governance serving everyone equitably.
They prefer right-wing officials pretending to be “steady, consistent, compromise-oriented leader(ship),” claiming that’s what Biden represents.
Of course he and Trump are two sides of the same coin on issues mattering most.
No one permitted to be president or serve in key congressional posts by US power brokers are allowed to diverge from continuity.
No US “liberal order” exists. Both parties and their key officials support neoliberal harshness, along with endless wars on humanity.
According to Wilderness Capital’s Joe Patrick, Putin is Trump’s “superior.”
“Putin kills people…who displease him (sic).”
“Trump is likely operating in the red overall and not been paying on those loans, secured by Russian oligarchs (sic).”
DJT “can be broken by a single phone call by Putin to pull the security on those loans (sic).”
If Patrick mismanages his clients’ money as poorly as the above assessment, he’ll be out of business in short order.
According to WaPo, Putin “needs Trump to win” a second term (sic), and he’s “trying to make it happen (sic).”
From now through November 3 and its aftermath, the Russian US election meddling Big Lie will be repeated time and again.
If Trump is reelected, Russophobic media will claim it’s because Putin pushed him over the top.
If DJT loses to Biden, Russia will still likely be falsely blamed for meddling but failing to achieve its objective.
US dark forces choose aspirants, winners, and losers for key US posts.
Ordinary Americans have no say over how the nation is run or by whom.
As for claims about Russian or other foreign meddling in the US political process, only establishment media followers believe what others relying on alternative sources know is fake news.
