US Yearend Handouts to Apartheid Israel
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
The US hands out countless trillions of dollars to dark force special interests at home and abroad that are responsible for highest of high crimes against humanity.
Ordinary Americans get crumbs at most, including during the holiday season.
Dark forces running the US turned the Christmas spirit into bah humbug, Santa into scrooge, no respite from its toughness any time of year.
Instead of better times for most people to look forward to, things worsen from one year to the next, improvement for ordinary people nowhere in sight.
Dystopian harshness is increasingly the unwritten law of the land — while privileged interests and US imperial partners get lavish handouts.
The unstimulating stimulus bill (HR 133) passed overwhelmingly by Congress includes billions of dollars for Israel.
It’s largely military related aid to terrorize Occupied Palestinians and continue undeclared cross-border aggression on Syria and Lebanon — both countries threatening no one.
HR 133 handed Israel $3.8 billion, courtesy of US taxpayers getting nothing in return except heartache and betrayal from their ruling class.
The same goes for long-suffering Palestinians, nothing included for them in the large-scale giveaway to special interests.
Thirteen US congressional members wanted aid conditional on on an end of Israeli state terror against Palestinians.
By letter to Pompeo achieving nothing, Bernie Sanders, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar’ Pramila Jayapal; Andre Carson; Betty McCollum’ Chuy Garcia, Danny Davis Ayanna Pressley, Raul Grijalva, Bobby Rush, and Nydia Velazquez said the following:
“Members of Congress should not be expected to support an undemocratic system in which Israel would permanently rule over a Palestinian people denied self-determination or equal rights.”
One-sided support for apartheid Israel is longstanding US policy, its high crimes supported, not criticized.
The Biden/Harris regime no doubt will leave longstanding US policies toward the Jewish state unchanged.
Elan Carr serves as Trump regime regime envoy for monitoring and combatting anti-Semitism.
Among other duties, he’s charged with combatting BDS activism and groups supporting it.
He lied calling anti-Zionism a form of anti-Semitism. One thing has nothing to do with the other.
He defied reality by claiming BDS is a form of bigotry toward Jews.
Israel is a nation-state, a belligerent state, a lawless state, an outlaw state, a pariah state, a nuclear armed and dangerous regional and global menace.
Much of what’s called anti-Semitism is justifiable criticism of its high crimes and the scourge of Zionism — what the late Joel Kovel called “a machine for the manufacture of human rights abuses.”
Palestinian activist Ahed Tamimi called Zionism the scourge of occupation, Israeli “killings, checkpoints, detention (of) innocent people,” and brutalization of an entire population for not being Jewish.
As long as Israel serves US imperial interests that are all about dominating other nations, Jewish state ruling regimes will continue getting lavish handouts annually.
