Russian Foreign Ministry on Crimea, Ukraine, and Lavrov East Asia Diplomacy

March 18 marked the 7th anniversary of Crimean Reunification Day.
On March 16, 2014, an overwhelming 96.77% of Crimeans voted to rejoin Russia.
Turnout was 83.1%. A 95.6% majority supported reunification in Sevastopol – voter turnout at 89.5%.
Crimea’s Supreme Council called ousting Ukrainian President Viktor Yanukovych by Obama/Biden a coup, declaring installed putschists illegitimate.
The Russian reunification referendum was held in response to what Crimeans rejected, refusing to be ruled Nazi-infested fascists.
Putin obliged them, signing a decree affirming their wishes.
Russia’s parliament overwhelmingly approved it. So did its Constitutional Court.
Two new Russian constituent territories were formed – the Republic of Crimea and Federal City of Sevastopol, given “special autonomous status.”
Crimea’s land border with Ukraine became Russia’s state border.
Crimeans automatically became Russian citizens. Those wishing to retain Ukrainian citizenship were free to do so.
Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova (MZ below) said the following about Crimean Reunification Day:
“We are celebrating a historic event, without exaggeration.”
“Crimea(ns) made an independent and conscientious choice on the future of their small motherland, their children and the generations to come.”
“This decision required no small courage.”
“We remember how (so-called) ‘friendship trains’ packed with nationalist hoodlums and weapons were sent to Crimea.”
“Owing to the selfless and responsible behavior of the Crimeans, peace and order were preserved and plans to turn the peninsula into the ‘Black Sea coast of the United States’ fell through.”
Orchestrated by US dark forces, fascists in Kiev waged war by other means on Crimeans that continues to this day — including a water blockade.
Since returning to Russia, large-scale projects were completed that greatly benefit its people.
According to MZ, “(o)ver 550 projects will be carried out before 2025.”
“They include development of the Crimea Railway infrastructure, the modernization and building of four-lane branch roads from the Taurida Highway to the southern coast of Crimea and upgrading the Artek international children’s center.”
“The peninsula will have a reliable water supply despite the scheming of the Kiev regime.”
“The Belbek water-intake facility (50,000 cubic meters of water per day) was put into service on March 16.”
“Construction of the Nezhinsky, Prostornensky and Novogrigoryevsky water supply inlets will be completed before the end of this year.”
“Two desalination units are expected to be put into operation in 2022.”
Crimea’s economy improved greatly since rejoining Russia, including its tourist industry.
US orchestrated/Kiev implemented schemes against the peninsula and its people were foiled by Moscow and Crimeans.
Ukraine is a Nazi-infested US colony, a fascist police state run by thugs.
MZ noted that on March 5, Ternopol, Ukraine’s city council renamed a city stadium to “honor Roman Shukhevich, commander of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army” — connected to WW II Nazis.
MZ: “We unequivocally denounce this decision. The very fact of glorifying Nazi accomplices and collaborationists under the guise of activists of the ‘national-liberation movement’ is absolutely unacceptable.”
“(T)he glorification of WW II Nazi accomplices who were recognized as criminals by a decision of the Nuremberg Tribunal runs counter to the Tribunal’s findings and also violates international law.”
“Roman Shukhevich, the odious founder of the Ukrainian Insurgent Army, Deputy Commander of the Nachtigall Battalion and Hauptmann of the 201st Schutzmannschaft Battalion, gained wide notoriety for his collaboration with the Nazis.”
During WW II, he mass murdered Ukrainians, Poles, and Belarusians, notably focusing on eliminating Jews and anti-Nazi freedom fighters.
Honoring him is one of many examples of Ukraine’s deplorable state since Obama/Biden eliminated its democratically elected government.
Since February 2014, marches, memorials, awards, and events for young children are held to glorify Nazi tyranny.
Ukraine was transformed into a festering sore in Europe’s heartland, bordering Russia.
Commenting on Sergey Lavrov’s visit to South Korea and China from March 22 – 25, MZ said the following:
He’ll meet with his counterparts in both countries, discussing vital geopolitical issues.
In China, he’ll participate in commemorating the 20th anniversary of the Treaty on Neighborliness, Friendship and Cooperation between the Russian Federation and the People’s Republic of China.
In South Korea, he’ll take part in ceremonies that commemorate the Mutual Exchange Year between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Korea.
It coincides with the 30th anniversary of bilateral diplomatic relations.
Discussions this week are at a time when Biden regime hardliners are pushing Indo/Pacific nations to ally with the US against China and Russia.
It’s also at a time of deepening Sino/Russian ties.
Both nations are rising in prominence on the world stage while decadent USA declines.
