Asia Tour of Kamala Harris All About Smearing China
by Stephen Lendman (stephenlendman.org – Home – Stephen Lendman)
Credibility lost over Afghanistan — including the botched evacuation and for finger-pointing away from itself to others — the Biden regime is desperate to change the subject.
Its long unacknowledged lost Afghan war is now public knowledge worldwide.
China, Russia, Iran and other countries stand to gain greatly from Washington’s decline on the world stage — advanced by defeat of its vaunted military by Afghan guerrilla fighters.
Kamala Harris’ disturbing public record is pockmarked with years of serving privileged interests and her own exclusively — at the expense of peace, due process, equal justice under law, and governance of, by and for everyone equitably.
Notions she long abhorred qualified her to be part of the illegitimate Biden regime.
In Asia on her second foreign trip, it followed visiting Guatemala and Mexico in June — during which she told nationals of both countries seeking US entry not to come, along with dismissively failing to explain why she failed to visit the US/Mexican border.
Arriving in Singapore on Sunday, she’ll head to Vietnam later on Tuesday.
According to Stimson Center East Asia Program co-director Yun Sun:
“What happened in Afghanistan has been quite frustrating and upsetting for a lot of countries” in Asia and worldwide, adding:
“The concern is one day when the US determines you are no longer important, they can pack up and leave and there is nothing you can do about it.”
On Tuesday, Harris fooled no one claiming that Washington seeks “peace and stability, freedom on the seas, unimpeded commerce, advancing human rights, a commitment to (its) rules-based order, and the recognition that our common interests are not zero sum (sic),” adding:
“Our engagement in Southeast Asia and the Indo-Pacific is not against any one country (sic), nor is it designed to make anyone choose between countries (sic).”
What Harris called pursuit by the US of “a free and open Indo/Pacific” is all about Washington’s sought unchallenged control over a part of the world not its own.
Its involvement worldwide is all about seeking control over the world community of nations, plundering its resources and exploiting its people.
By brute force if other methods fail, key rivals China, Russia and Iran top its list for regime change.
Addressing the main reason for her visit, Harris falsely claimed that “Beijing continues to coerce (sic), to intimidate (sic), and make claims to the vast majority of the South China Sea (sic),” adding:
“Beijing’s actions continue to undermine Washington’s extrajudicial rules-based order” — meaning its rules over universal rule of law principles.
According to China’s Global Times, her Asia visit and Washington’s regional aims are all about furthering its regional interests that include using “Southeast Asia (as) a frontier against China.”
On Monday, China’s Foreign Ministry spokesman Wang Wenbin said the following about her visit and remarks:
“China always holds that exchanges between countries should be conducive to promoting mutual trust, and peace and stability in the region and the world at large.”
In stark contrast, US regimes made “countless promises in the past that it had not kept.”
Harris’ visit “threaten(s) the sovereignty of (regional) nations.”
It seeks “to stir up trouble…sow discord,” and gain anti-China support — an agenda doomed to fail.
“The US can come and go whenever it wants without consulting the international community, or even its allies.”
“It can smear, suppress, coerce and bully other countries at will without paying any price just in order to keep America first.”
“That is the order the US wants,” adding:
Its ruling regimes aim “to justify its selfishness and bullying with ‘rules’ and ‘order.’ ”
“But how many people would believe that now” after its rape, destruction and abandonment of Afghanistan and long-suffering people?
In stark contrast to US imperial aims, China and other nations free from its control prioritize peace, stability, cooperation with other nations and compliance with the rule of law — notions hegemon USA abhors.
